On Saturday June 18th 2011 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., Trout Unlimited (Nutmeg chapter - #217) will be working with three different conservation organizations to conduct stream clean-ups on four Fairfield County (CT) rivers. We need as many volunteers to come out for T.U.'s National Stream Clean-Up Day as possible.

* Pequonnock River (with Pequonnock River Initiative) - meeting place is at the Beardsley Zoo (1875 Noble Avenue, Bridgeport). Follow the river upstream within Beardsley Park to the north end of the property. We will be cleaning up the area under and around the Rte. 8 Bridge.

*Farmill River (with Shelton Land Conservation Trust) - meeting place is on Beard Saw Mill Rd in Shelton, under the Rte. 8 Bridge.

*Mill River's Wild Trout Management Area (with Aspetuck Land Trust) - meeting place is the William S. Warner Angler Preserve (parking lot at the intersection of Buck Hill Rd. and South Park Ave. in Easton.)

*Saugatuck River - meeting place is at the William "Doc" Skerlick Trout Management Area on Ford Rd. in Westport.

Garbage bags and bottled water will be supplied by the chapter.

Please bring:
-if possible, boots or waders for pulling trash out of or across the river
-insect repellent
-gloves for picking up the trash
